I met anya the day after I saw taylor again, 10/4/2025. rivkah had posted on instagram to get people to hit me up and anya did it. the eccentric, all-around creative reached out and we managed to get this home session done together. a really short walk from where I was staying at actually.
in her room, pieces of clothing she'd made. books and magazines that contained her poetry. the dancing that I wish I had thought to capture—but you'd see the influence in her movement while posing. to dive into these different things, there's so much in art to love and its admirable she just goes for it.
I tell myself I should do these write-ups immediately after coming home from a session. I forget the details after a few days. sometimes I forget that I actually went to new york. did I mention these were from new york by the way? brooklyn, baby. I gotta go back. I wanna meet more people, revisit the ones I know. to see taylor again, rivkah again, joey again, kyla again (when she finally settles there), and whoever else I might find in the big apple.
my time with anya was brief. I had fun. she got a cake for us to smash. she climbed onto her fire escape. she served tasteful underboob for all your crazy people. she played some lou reed over the speakers. no complaints.
my last shoot in new york for now. I'll be back.
